JHL Landscape Lighting is a family-owned and operated business, founded in 1993 — and for 30+ years we've been the Chester County and Main Line specialists in landscape lighting. We don't just install fixtures; we design scenes.
Our philosophy is scene over fixture, architecture-first. We design layered, cinematic lighting environments that reveal the depth, texture, and drama of your property after dark — then build them with low-voltage systems engineered to last.

Great landscape lighting isn't a box of fixtures stuck in the ground — it's a composition. Here's how every JHL project comes together, from the first walk of your property to the night the scene comes alive.
We read the property
We start at your home, not a catalog. We study the architecture, the topography, the specimen trees, and the way light and shadow move across the property after dark — then we design to that, not a template.
We design the scene
We layer the lighting the way an interior designer layers a room — path, uplight, accent, and architectural light, each chosen to do a specific job. You see and approve the plan before anything is installed.
We install to last
Every system is low-voltage (12-volt) with warm 2700K LED fixtures from Alliance, Kichler, FX Luminaire, and Tru-Scapes. Transformers are sized with headroom, wiring is buried and hidden, and connections are made to survive Pennsylvania seasons.
We finish after dark
On the final night walk-through we aim every beam, set the brightness, and dial in the scene with you on site. We don’t call a project done until it looks right at night — that’s the 100% night walk-through guarantee.
