Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about landscape lighting across Chester County and the Main Line, PA.

How much does landscape lighting cost?

Most residential landscape lighting designs fall in the range of a few thousand dollars for a focused front-yard scene up to larger investments for full-property estate lighting. Pricing depends on fixture count, transformer and wiring runs, and the complexity of the design. We provide a detailed written quote after a free on-site consultation — scene over fixture, never a guess.

What is the difference between low-voltage and line-voltage lighting?

Low-voltage landscape lighting runs on a 12-volt system stepped down through a transformer — it is safer to work around, more energy efficient, and far more flexible to adjust and expand. Line-voltage (120V) systems are higher risk and harder to modify. We design and install low-voltage 12-volt systems as the professional residential standard.

Will LED fixtures look harsh or blue?

No. We use warm 2700K LED fixtures that hold a true halogen-warm color — the same inviting glow people love, without the heat, energy draw, or short lamp life of halogen. The result is warm and natural, never that cold blue-white you see with cheap big-box fixtures.

Do the lights stay on all night?

That is your choice. Most systems run on a timer, photocell, or smart controller, so they switch on at dusk and off at a set hour — or stay on all night for security. We program the controls during your night walk-through and can adjust them any time.

Can you service a system someone else installed?

Yes. We service, repair, re-lamp, and seasonally adjust landscape lighting systems installed by others as well as our own. If your existing system has dark zones, failing fixtures, or a tired transformer, we can diagnose it and bring the scene back to life.

Can I add fixtures or expand the system later?

Absolutely — that is one of the advantages of a properly designed low-voltage system. We size transformers and plan wiring runs with future zones in mind, so adding tree uplights, path lights, or a new garden bed down the road is straightforward.
