Bistro or string lights are strands of evenly spaced bulbs suspended overhead, most often across a patio, pergola, or between posts, to create the warm, cafe-style glow that makes a gathering space feel intimate. Quality outdoor versions use weather-rated sockets, shatter-resistant bulbs, and proper strain-relief support cable so the strand carries its own weight rather than straining the wire. They deliver ambient overhead light that ground-level fixtures cannot, defining the ceiling of an outdoor room. We hang them on a dedicated, properly supported run and tie them into the same warm 2700K palette as the rest of the system so the whole property reads as one designed scene.
