Hub-and-Spoke Wiring

A wiring layout where home-run cables fan out from a central hub to keep voltage even.

Hub-and-spoke is a wiring method that uses a central connection point, or hub, from which individual cable runs radiate out to small clusters of fixtures. Because each spoke is its own dedicated run back to the hub, every fixture sees a more consistent voltage, which keeps brightness and color uniform across the system and minimizes voltage drop. It is cleaner and far easier to troubleshoot than long daisy-chained runs, where a fault anywhere can darken everything downstream. Quality hubs are sealed and buried in a junction enclosure for weather protection. We design with hub-and-spoke layouts on larger properties so the system performs evenly and stays simple to service for years.
