Well Light

A fixture installed flush in the ground so only its beam shows, hiding the source.

A well light is an uplighting fixture installed flush into the ground, recessed inside a buried housing so its top sits at or just below grade and only the light itself is visible. By hiding the source entirely, it delivers clean uplighting on a tree or wall with nothing to mow around or trip over, which makes it ideal for lawns, walkways, and tidy modern landscapes. Because it lives in the ground, drainage and a strong IP-rated seal are essential to keep water out of the housing. Well lights cost more to install than stake-mounted fixtures but disappear completely by day. We use them where a hidden source and a clean grade-level finish matter most.
